Silver contracting did a second story addition (3 bedroom, 2 bath, approx 900 sq ft) to our one story house which included reinforcing the foundation for a staircase. The mix of demolition, new construction, and remodeling made the project more complex than most but we feel very fortunate that we selected Silver contracting for the work. They mostly stayed on budget, they communicated well with our architect, and easily accommodate last minute changes. The quality of work was excellent, including the trim and cabinetry.
We chose Silver Contracting for a home addition in 2004. It was a true pleasure to work with Elliot and his team on this project. We were trying to maintain the feel of the original farmhouse while adding more space and modern design features. Elliot listened closely to our needs and had an intuitive sense on how to make things work. We had some of the normal surprises pop-up that occur when renovating an older home and Elliot was very flexible in helping to resolve problems and provided very reasonable pricing for change orders. We were so happy with the job that we called Silver Contracting back again after 10 years to build a garage to match the house addition.
Silver Contracting finished our church's 2nd phase remodeling project to change a fire station garage bay to a sanctuary. They really did a great job.
Overall it was a very good experience and we would not hesitate to recommend Silver Contracting for either new construction or remodeling.
Exceptional 700 sq. ft basement finish performed by Elliott and his staff in our Boulder County home on time, within budget, while meeting all required code inspections and close out requirements. Keys drivers for this great outcome were upfront planning and agreement as to scope and costs, transparent and timely communication (he prefers phone discussions, text messaging, and emailing in that priority order). He is always patient, listens, and provides compelling and rational feedback. He is very open to you actively participating in the buildout process to facilitate schedule and in providing him honest feedback on his staff/contractor performance and quality of work. Five Stars!
Silver Contracting helped us transform our main floor by incorporating the old kitchen and dining room spaces and making one dream kitchen! We removed a wall, moved the entire working kitchen and doubled our everyday kitchen space. Silver Contracting was easy to work with, the project ran on time and they were able to help with solutions throughout the construction process. All workers that came into our home were friendly and knowledgeable. The custom work we had done really made the kitchen over-the-top fantastic and we love the end result!
I worked closely with Elliot and Kathy. They are both very professional, friendly and considerate. They did everything they can to finish our project with less cost and good timing. They gave professional suggestions whenever we had some uncertainties. They even allowed us to do part of the work like painting and carpeting to save our cost.
