Absolutely amazing food! So delicious and beautifully presented! The overall vibe is so wonderful and happy and has a wonderful international flair! the staff is absolutely phenomenal! Everything is exquisite about Ras Kassa's!

I give 4 stars because: no beets, only 1 tiny small potato, and slightly tough meat.

I’ve been eating at Ras Kassas since I moved to Boulder in 1999. Unfortunately, they closed a few years ago and I haven’t been able to have this great food for a while. I saw they opened a new restaurant in Lafayette and decided to take my girlfriend to give it a try.

Expensive? For the amount of food you get, the flavors you taste and the experience of something totally new, it is not expensive. This food makes you want to book a flight to Ethiopia. The best part is the no boundaries, 4'9'' waitress/hostess. She really rounded out the evening when she showed us how to eat the meal by actually putting it in our mouths.

The restaurant looks really nice and updated. I prefer to eat at the little round tables made of straw, but most of these are gone now in favor of standard tables / chairs. The bathroom was clean and the wait staff was very friendly.

The menu has changed a little bit. I was extremely disappointed to see that they took beets off the vegetarian platter— the beets and potatoes were my favorite part!! We only got one small tiny cube of potato today with our vegetarian platter, I should’ve complained but I didn’t... we still had plenty of food. The Addis beef was a little tougher and slightly less flavorful than I remember— but maybe next time it will be better. What I love about the beef here is that they cut it perfectly— I have *never* found a piece of fat or gristle in it. The Ras Kassas honey mead was as tasty as ever. The hummus had some weird oniony flavor in it that I don’t remember— we didn’t like the hummus at all.

I love this place! The food is incredible, and you can easily eat your fill and more. When their location in Boulder closed, I was sad, but I couldn't be happier with their new location! I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants to try new food.

fantastic! The food was good, the people were better. My first time there and the ladies showed me how to eat by putting together the first bit for me. Well done.
